Information Technology Alignment and Governance

The objective of the Information Technology Alignment and Governance Competence Center is to advance theory building and practice regarding IT related management and governance issues. The ITAG research institute focuses on how organizations can enable both businesses and IT management to execute their responsibilities in support of business/IT alignment and the creation of business value from IT enabled business investments. ITAG distributes leading research that is both academically executed and relevant for practice in the IT and business community.

Board level IT Governance Research Project (July 2015-June 2018)

Co-created research project installed by Antwerp Management School together with the following partners: CEGEKA, KPMG and Samsung. The research project focuses on the role of the Board in Enterprise Governance of IT. The main objective is to better understand the crucial accountability of the board in governing the digital assets and to provide solutions and tools for these board members to take up their accountability.

 
e-Leadership (2014-2015)

Responding to the inadequacies in the skills market flagged by stakeholders across the European Union, the European Commission has begun commissioning studies and launching initiatives designed to foster a full range of skills relating to ICT, “e-skills”. In Europe, the most recent focus and initiative is on the skills gap in the ‘e-leadership’ domain. Antwerp Management School and it’s Competence Center ITAG are involved as one of the key academic partners.

 
Building the Business Case for Enterprise Governance of IT (2014-2015)

Research project commissioned by ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) focused on building an international benchmark on Enterprise Governance of IT and how it contributes to business Performance. 

 
PhD research on IT Value Management (January 2010 - December 2014)

Research project (January 2010 - December 2014) resulting in a PhD thesis, investigating the use of value management practices to achieve more business value from IT enabled investments.

 
Survey on Project and Program Management and Enterprise Architecture (January 2012 – November 2012)

Research project in support of a survey executed by KPMG Belgium. The survey investigates the current state of project and program management, and enterprise architecture capabilities in Belgian organizations.
