Luis Huete holds a law degree, an MBA from IESE and a DBA from Boston University. He was a Fulbright Scholar and winner of the Decision Science Institute Award for best dissertation of the year (1988). He worked as a researcher at Harvard Business School, developing scientific material and taking part in a research project financed by Bell Communications. He has taught at IESE Business School since 1982.
His work has been presented at numerous professional conferences throughout the world. His articles have appeared in journals as well as in general and business publications. He has lectured in advance management programs at Harvard Business School (USA), Lovaine (Belgium), Thunderbird (Switzerland), ESMT (Germany), and many other business schools.
Luis Huete is the author of ten books and seven CD-ROMs, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and industry gatherings. He has provided training and consulting to more than 600 companies in more than 60 countries. These include Bupa, ISS, Carrefour, Deloitte, Financial Times, FNAC, Henkel, Ricoh, Barclays, Hewlett Packard, UTi, SD Works, Loewe and Zurich.
Luis has worked with CEOs and their teams on major organisational change projects such as strategic direction and organisation design. The companies include Banco Santander, BBVA, IBM, Oracle, McDonalds, ISS (Denmark), Adecco, Intercom Group, Telefonica, Telesp (Brazil), Movistar (Argentina, Chile and Central America), Opel, Iberostar, Grupo Pascual, Campofrio, USG People (Netherlands), Lilly, Vodafone, Six Senses (Thailand), Banesto and Larrain-Vial (Chile), among others.
He is President of the consultancy firm & Samhoud Spain www.samhoud.es and associate and member of the Global Advisory Board of Oxford Leadership Academy (UK). He also serves on the boards of the Six-Senses Resorts & Spas (Thailand), Six Senses Iberia (Spain), Corporación Financiera ARCO (Spain), ALTIA Consultores (Spain), Ecointegral (Spain) and the Modern Art Foundation NMAC (Spain).
Luis lives in Madrid with his wife Maria and their four children.
