International faculty members and leadership experts will guide future leaders in developing critical reflection at both the ‘personal’ and the ‘global business scene’ level. The talented professionals will be inspired to take action and cope with the complex globalized business reality.

The structured program consists of four ‘tracks’, which are preceded by an intake phase and followed by a wrap-up implementation phase. The tracks are founded on 3 clusters of knowledge and skills identified as being essential to effective leaders: Context, Complexity and Connectedness*. The differing themes of each track are approached at the personal, business and global level.

Leadership development

Antwerp Management School applies experiential approaches to learning ranging from mentoring, on-site observation to action learning. Furthermore leading professionals - including business executives and leading figures from the sports and cultural sectors -  are engaged to share their inspirational and motivational experiences in a 'think tank' learning context .
Members of management/sponsors play an invaluable role in witnessing at first hand the growth trajectory of their participatingfuture leaders; while peer-buddies and alumni mentors have a continuous guiding function. With participants ultimately being responsible for their own growth, e-learning and blogging also form an integral part of each phase.

  • Teaching method

    Throughout the duration of the program, participants work both in teams and with their mentor.



    Terms of admission

    Applicants must have a minimum of 6 years' professional experience and must be proficient in both written and spoken English. They have been identified by their companies as potential future leaders. If you have any questions about the requirements or the program itself, please do not hesitate to contact us!



    Lecturer

    The program teaching faculty comprises a wealth of international experts and business leaders specialized in the various aspects of professional and leadership development covered in the program., including Prof. Joe Nellis (Cranfield School of Management, U.K.), Dr. Banu Golesorkhi, Ph.D. (Pharos International, IFL Stockholm School for Economics), Prof. Ron Meyer (TiasNimbas Business School, The Netherlands).

     Prof. Joe Nellis

    Joe Nellis is Professor of International Management Economics (Cranfield School of Management) and Visiting Professor Antwerp Management School. He has published 18 books and over 200 articles and is a frequent contributor to a wide range of international conferences. His research encompasses analysis of business developments in a changing world in terms of the macro-economy, the role of the government, the impact of technology and societal and demographic.

     

    Dr. Banu Golesorkhi

    Banu Golesorkhi is a visiting Faculty membr of Antwerp Management School and Director of Research for Pharos International  where she manages the design and execution of commissioned research projects globally. her expertise includes management of international assignments, developing diversity competence and building trust across cultures.

     

    Prof. Ron Meyer

    Ron Meyer is Professor of Corporate Strategy, Managing Director of the Center for Strategy and Leadership (TiasNimbas Business School) and Visiting Professor Antwerp Management  School. As a consultant he works with many top international companies, he gives trainings and lectures and is also the (co)-author of numerous articles and books among which an internationally leading textbook on strategic management. At TiasNimbas his main focus is on research in the areas of strategy and leadership.

    Prof. Jamie Anderson

    Jamie Anderson is Visiting Professor in Strategic Management at Antwerp Management School, and has held permanent and visiting positions at Tilburg University, London Business School and IMD in Switzerland. He was recently named as one of the 'Top 25 Management Thinkers for 2009' by the management journal 'Business Strategy Review'. Jamie's current research interests focus on competitive strategy, new market entry and corporate transformation.

     Other teaching faculty will be drawn from the faculty of Antwerp Management School and other international institutions



    Certificate

    Participants who complete all four tracks from intake through wrap-up and deliver a sound business report on their future growth proposal, will be awarded a Certificate of Next Generation Leadership from the Antwerp Management School, in recognition of their achievements.
