PuMa?

PUMA stands for Publiek Management Alumni. It is the alumni association of all Public Management programs of Antwerp Management School. A number of graduates from the Master of Public Management program, at the request of Ellen Verschooren, joined forces under a brand new alumni activity, giving PUMA its start. The alumni of the programs Public and Social Profit Management and Acquisition Management and Public Contracts are also welcome to join the group.

What can you expect from PUMA?

The founding members believed it was important to continue learning, after completing their studies at Antwerp Management School, by exchanging knowledge and experiences from practical experience as well as networking with alumni from other study areas. A concrete action plan is still under way, but meeting up with each other to hammer out a framework will certainly be a worthwhile effort.

Events organised by Puma:

Since 2016 (celebration 75th anniversary MPM) PuMa organises a yearly congres with the title ‘Overheid of Overhead’ where we let key notes speak but also alumni. The goal is to share knowledge from white papers based on research and recommandations that alumni have written during their master in the master thesis. Often this knowledge has caused quite some improvements within their own organization which can also be a source of inspiration for other people.

Next to this congres, PuMa plans smaller activities and excursions on a regular basis. Subscribe to our newsletter to keep informed about these events.
