Negotiation skills are among the most important competencies that a manager must possess. And learning how to acquire them is among the most popular courses for management students. During this interactive webinar, prof. dr. Georg Berkel will explore a highly significant current example to discuss (a) what negotiations are, (b) why they are so challenging, and (c) how they are taught at AMS.

Georg Berkel, PhD

Georg Berkel's MBA is from IESE / Universidad de Navarra in Barcelona and his PhD from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He has been a regular visiting scholar at the Kellogg School of Management since 2006, a visiting lecturer at the University of Munich since 2008, and professor at IUBH since 2012. This academic year, he was a visiting professor at AMS in the program Master in Global Management. He is an attorney and consultant who specializes in the negotiation process. He practiced and taught negotiations in more than 20 countries in Europa, the Middle East, Asia and North America. Previously he worked in a leading technology company in Germany and Israel. Georg just published “Learning to Negotiate” at Cambridge University Press. He is also a qualified mediator.
