Strategic Innovation: How to Develop New Business Models

Strategy & Innovation

16 02 21

2021 Executive Electives Series organized by EMBA Alumni Chapter

In this session Professor Jamie Anderson will introduce his award winning case study about Dollar Shave Club, an innovator that has disrupted brands such as Gillette and Wilkinson Sword in the established razor industry. In addition to revealing an innovative business model, the Dollar Shave Club case offers lessons in the importance of creative thinking as a basis for overturning established industry paradigms, and the challenges faced by established players in responding to disruptive challengers.

Jamie Anderson is Professor of Strategic Management at Antwerp Management School, and Visiting Professor at INSEAD. A four-time TED speaker, Jamie has been named as a “management guru” in the Financial Times, and has also been included on a list of the world’s “top 25 management thinkers” by the journal Business Strategy Review. Jamie’s research and teaching focuses on the creativity, innovation and leadership required to thrive in an increasingly complex world.
