The Master Class ‘Business Economics for Non-Economics (BENE)’ is practice-oriented and designed for professionals, entrepreneurs and managers. Over the past 60 years, this Master Class has gained a solid reputation in Flanders: more than 1,500 professionals called on our experts to support them in the growth of their organization and their career.
During ten evening classes, you will be immersed in a variety of aspects of business economics. This will develop your financial and accounting insights and will enable you to communicate with your accountant or financial department in a more targeted way. No matter what subject - annual accounts, budget, cost calculation or an investment analysis: you will develop the appropriate skills to draw up the necessary financial plans and interpret them correctly. During this training you will also take a closer look at the business strategy of your own organization and learn to apply your financial and accounting insights. Our lecturers have both academic and practical backgrounds, so they are the perfect partner to coach you towards the optimum approach.
At the end of this program, you will be able to:
get more out of your balance sheets and P&L accounts;
be a competent sparring partner for your financial colleagues and management directors;
correctly interpret financial data;
make well-founded decisions based on financial information;
have a broad strategic perspective on your organization;
assist with the growth and development of your organization;
do business in a smarter way.
On our campus or online
You can choose to follow the course Business Economics for Non-Economists online or on campus. Both ways have their advantages:
Go for the full AMS experience: you'll take classes on a brand new, dynamic campus. Our faculty and staff will do everything they can to give you an inspiring learning experience. Of course, we respect all the necessary safety measures.
Before, during and after class there is time to network. You will connect with your professors and fellow students, which may offer a lot of new opportunities and perspectives.
Learn from your teachers and from the cases of other participants. You will work actively - in small groups - with various tools. Your fellow students often come from very different organizations and functions. This in itself provides refreshing insights and inspiration.
Ask your questions during class, as soon as you have them, and discuss them with your professors and fellow students.
Take classes from your office or your home. You can use the saved travel time to process the learning materials and/or to work on your case.
Interact extensively with the teachers and fellow students. During online discussion moments we make time to answer questions, explain cases, etc.
We integrate several individual sessions where we focus on your specific situation. We look at your individual needs and questions and ensure a smooth translation to your own work environment.
All lessons will be recorded. You can review them again at your own pace and at the moment of your choice.
