Master Class Maritime Transport - Overview

The C-MAT Maritime Transport course is designed to help staff members from transport-related companies and organizations (e.g. shipping companies, port authorities, terminal operators, airlines and airports) become top-notch executives in the field. The program is divided into 3 separate two-week courses, exploring the topics of Port Economics & Business, Maritime Economics & Business, and Maritime Supply Chains.

  • The course on Port Economics & Business will provide participants with thorough insights and knowledge in the role, the functioning and operations, and the policymaking regarding seaports.
  • The course on Maritime Economics & Business focuses on issues that shape the maritime transport market. How is this market organized? What role do the authorities play? These and other crucial issues will be analyzed by means of economic tools.
  • The course on Maritime Supply Chains provides an in-depth view into the management of maritime supply chains. It also examines how such supply chains can be affected by exogenous trends and events.

All knowledge will be shared by top-level academic faculty, as well as by high-end practitioners, port authorities and policymakers. Participants will be engaged in interactive lectures, field visits and panel debate sessions.
