Curriculum

LinC consists of several learning tracks. The main track are the ‘labs’ (laboratories): two-day seminars focused on generating and creating new knowledge, inspiration and insights together. We also stimulate thinking outside the box and breaking through traditional approaches and scenarios. During a period of one year, eight labs will be organized.

During this year, participants will also work in small teams (Flemish-Dutch) on practice-based challenges and problems. These so-called ‘interventures’ (a combination of the words adventures, interventions and inventions) aim at enriching, optimizing and implementing the acquired knowledge and expertise.

Furthermore, the program aims at enhancing personal leadership. In this ‘track of reflection’ you zoom in on your own personal questions regarding leadership, organization and career path. You’ll broaden your self-insights as leverage for effective and authentic leadership. This track consists of four individual sessions with an experienced coach, supplemented by an intake and techniques such as 360-degree feedback and fly-on-the-wall observation.

Learning outcomes

  • LinC wants to train leaders who can invest their creativity and intuition into a strong, vibrant and financially healthy sector. LinC works on personal leadership, collective leadership, new insights, new practices and solutions and new connections between leaders, institutions, disciplines and between culture and society.
  • LinC challenges participants to learn from each other and overcome alleged boundaries e.g. between artistic and corporate leadership. Complex subjects – e.g. the vulnerability of cultural professionals who only reach small audiences, the role culture can play in tackling societal challenges or the relation between government and the cultural sector – will be addressed, taking into account innovative solutions and alternative scenarios.
