Network creation & governance

I-Tex

How can B2B textile companies develop and sell specific products through e-commerce? I-Tex mainly focuses on B2B textile companies in Flanders with the ambition to transform their business model through e-commerce. The transformation goes from a model that sells products via intermediaries to a business model that sells products to the end customer not only via distributors, but also via e-commerce.

Type project IWT – collective research project
Project partners Centexbel, Arteveldehogeschool and Flanders Inshape in the framework of earmarked IWT tools of Flanders Inshape.
Duration September 01, 2014 - August 31, 2016

We looked at which conditions are necessary to successfully transform from a B2B business model to a mixed business model B2B and e-B2C.

Objectives

  • Draw up a manual for (textile) companies to start with e-commerce, specifically to sell their own products online
  • Guidance for a number of companies in the project during the start of their e-commerce trajectory
