In recent years, the impact of changing consumer behavior and e-commerce on warehousing has been quite substantial. A decrease in shipment sizes, omnichannel strategies, automation, man-to-goods versus goods-to-man approach are just a few examples of the adaptations warehousing has been forced to make. The coronavirus crisis has even accelerated this change process.
This session offers you a unique opportunity to debate on how to prepare for this change with peers from a variety of industries and supported by innovative academic concepts and concrete cases. You will get to exchange experiences, take away relevant methodologies and tools, and expand your network.
Optimize your company’s warehousing strategy and share ideas and experiences with peers and academic experts. Key component is the discussion of Barry Callebaut’s European distribution center in partnership with WDP. The protagonists of this project will share their lessons learned. You will have the opportunity to join the discussion and bring in your own experiences, cases or questions.
In preparation of the session, moderator Alex Van Breedam may contact you to discuss your expectations and the challenges your company is facing. This guarantees a personal approach and true value-creation.
To boost the interaction between academics and practitioners, the session takes place at the premises of a leading company in supply chain: WDP, the warehouse rental market leader in the Benelux region.
To guarantee a maximum of interactivity and value for each individual participant, attendance is limited to 15 participants.

Established in 1971, WDP owns, develops, and manages logistics and semi-industrial property. WDP is the warehouse rental market leader in the Benelux region. The main fields of operation are in Belgium, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, North of France, Germany and Romania. WDP has been listed on the Euronext stock exchange since 1999 in Brussels
and since 2015 in Amsterdam. In 2019, WDP entered the Bel20 index.
