Digital transformation in supply chains

Supply Chain

04 05 22

The effective use of data in supply chain settings is becoming increasingly important in the contemporary economy. Data can be used to feed decision making on the operational, tactical, and strategic level. This will only work, however, if data is exchanged and integrated in an organization or in a network. As data are often still organized in isolated functional silos, many organizations fail to unleash the full potential of data on all levels.

The Data Ambition Matrix (DAM) helps supply chain organizations determine where they currently are in data integration and what their ambition is (or should be) toward the future. The matrix is based on widely accepted academic theory: the Value Chain Model of Porter (1985). Building on the DAM, emerging notions and concepts such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, analytics, etc. will be framed and discussed within a supply chain setting.

After this webinar:

  • You will understand the basics of supply chain in relationship to the information and data dimensions.
  • You will be able to identify your maturity level with regards to the use of data in your supply chain.
  • You will be provided with a concrete tool that you can apply within your supply chain organization.
