Dr. Steven Poelmans is professor of Leadership and Organizational Neuroscience at Antwerp Management School. He holds a M. Organizational Psychology, M. Marketing Management, Ph.D. Management, and Postgraduate in Neuroscience of Leadership.
He is the founder of the NeuroTrainingLab™, a neuroscience-based leadership development methodology.
Dr. Poelmans has twenty years of teaching experience at seven business schools in three continents, teaching organizational behavior, managerial communication, cross-cultural management, (neuro)/leadership, and coaching. He is visiting professor in top business schools in Europe (Spain, Lithuania, Check Republic), Africa (Tunis), and South-America (Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Peru).
He is author of the books “Paradoxes of Leadership. Neuroscience-based Leadership for the Information Age” and “The BrainBalance. Taking care of Yourself with the Brain in Mind”, editor of five academic books, several dozens of articles in peer-reviewed journals, and more than 30 book chapters. He was recognized as a Top 50 Overall Contributor by the Work-Family Researchers Network.
He has trained executives in multinationals such as BASF, Deutsche Bank, ETEX, EISAI, ENEL/ENDESA, European Investment Bank, Google, Grohe, International Monetary Fund, Japan Tobacco International, Komatsu, Mango, Nestlé, Nike, Novartis, Petrobras, Pfizer, PwC, Randstad, Reynaers, Roche Diagnostics, Santander, Swissport, Telefonica, and the World Health Organization. He has coached over 250 executives of more than 30 different nationalities.
