Working longer, but how? Building age-inclusive careers

October 10, 2025 – Prof. Dr. Peggy De Prins (AMS) and guests - in Dutch

Governments expect all of us to work longer. But is our labor market truly ready for that? Persistent taboos around employees aged 55+ remain: they’re said to be less flexible, unwilling to learn new skills, or simply winding down their careers. Yet the reality is far more diverse.

Together with Prof. Dr. Peggy De Prins, we’ll explore how employers, managers, and policymakers can build age-inclusive organizations. You’ll discover how to break taboos and design realistic career paths for 55+ employees who want to grow, keep learning, or who may be struggling with physical or mental challenges.

Who is it for?
For anyone seeking insights into age-inclusive work, looking to engage in meaningful dialogue with employees aged 55+, or searching for inspiration to foster sustainable employability while navigating the tension between policy and practice.

IT in the Boardroom: How digitally ready is your C-Suite?

November 7 – Prof. Steven De Haes, Dean & Professor of Digital Strategy & Governance - in English

In today’s volatile, tech-driven business landscape, digital transformation is no longer a buzzword. Digital technology is embedded in every facet of the organization, not only as a backbone for business continuity and a catalyst for innovation, but also as a focal point of increasingly stringent external regulations in the market.

As such, the digital challenge demands priority attention at the highest levels of leadership. But while organizations race to modernize systems and reimagine processes, a critical question often goes unasked: Is your top leadership digitally equipped to lead the change?

This webinar explores how digital readiness at the executive and board level shapes agility, compliance, and long-term resilience. Prof. Steven De Haes will address two critical questions:

  • How can board members and CEOs make sound decisions on complex IT topics they’re not experts in?
  • How can IT leaders translate technical complexity into clear choices aligned with business strategy?

Who is it for?
Board members, managers, and IT leaders looking to build a future-proof, digital organization.

Driving change from the top: How to truly move your organization

December 5 – Prof. Dr. Ron Meyer, Strategic Leadership - in Dutch

On paper, designing a new strategy usually isn’t the problem. Maybe your organization wants to enter a new market, redesign the customer journey, or roll out an innovative business model. But when it comes to turning those plans into action, things often stall. People don’t know what’s expected of them, they don’t have time to take on extra tasks alongside their regular work, and they lack trust that real change will happen. In many organizations, change efforts remain limited to small tweaks, and the strategy ends up gathering dust on the shelf.

In this webinar, Professor Ron Meyer explains why change so often gets stuck at the top, the management team. What does it take for leaders not just to talk, but to mobilize? You’ll learn how executive teams can move beyond planning and take the step toward real action. Expect relatable examples, honest insights, and practical tips to stop postponing change and start making it happen within yourself and across your organization.

Who is it for?
For leaders, managers, and teams who don’t want to outsource change but achieve it together. For anyone who feels it’s time to go beyond just talking about change.

From isolated actions to policy: Embedding wellbeing in your organization

December 12 – Prof. Dr. Kathleen Vangronsvelt and research partners - in Dutch

Companies are increasingly investing in wellbeing to strengthen resilience and employee happiness. Yet, wellbeing policies often don’t go beyond one-off actions aimed at individuals, such as breathing exercises, time management workshops, or assertiveness training. But burnout rarely originates solely in the employee’s mind. The team, leadership, and organization also play a role (IGLO model).

In this webinar, together with Prof. Dr. Kathleen Vangronsvelt, you’ll learn how to move from isolated initiatives to an integrated approach. You’ll discover how to structurally embed wellbeing at the level of the individual, the team, leadership, and the organization. You’ll gain insights into the six core needs of employees, along with practical tips to make wellbeing tangible and achievable. Finally, we’ll share inspiring real-world examples from our research partners.

Who is it for?
For anyone looking to move from fragmented initiatives toward a structured, achievable approach to workplace wellbeing.
