Supply Chain Series: expert talk on multimodality

Tackle your multimodality challenges

Multimodality and modal shift: two terms that cover so many aspects. As an organization, it’s not always easy to get hold of the information that meets your specific needs and challenges. That’s why we take a different approach: instead of us telling you what topics need to be addressed, you tell us!

Based on your (anonymous) input gathered prior to the session, experts Prof. Dr. Thierry Vanelslander (University of Antwerp) and Peter Lagey (Manager Multimodaal Vlaanderen) will prepare a high-level, tailor-made discussion.

12:30 pm Arival & sandwich lunch
1:30 pm Welcome and company presentation by Geert Pauwels (CEO Lineas)
1:45 pm Session setup by chairman Prof. dr. Alex Van Breedam and introduction of experts Peter Lagey (Multimodaal Vlaanderen) and Prof. dr. Thierry Vanelslander (UAntwerpen)
2:00 pm Presentation & discussion: Two company cases focusing on (inter)national flows: a railway connected company versus a company without a railway connection. Both companies succeeded to move a part of their flows from road to multimodal in a profitable and sustainable way
4:00 pm Break & visit of Main Hub as well as explanation of the Shunting Yard
5:00 pm Discussion of business cases and issues raised by participants
6:30 pm Walking buffet with keynote of Prof. Dr. Thierry Vanelslander
8:30 pm Closing
