Antwerp Management School awarded ‘Pioneering Employer’ label for its focus on workplace wellbeing
Antwerp, November 17, 2025 – Antwerp Management School (AMS) has been recognized as a Pioneering Employer 2026, a label awarded to organizations that actively address today’s most pressing HR challenges. AMS received this recognition for its strong focus on wellbeing as a strategic driver of sustainable growth.
A Pioneering Employer is part of a learning network that helps organizations evolve into sustainable, people-centered employers. The initiative, launched by Jobat, De Lijn, and Antwerp Management School, focused this year on five key themes: effective wellbeing strategies, career development, realistic job representation, enablers for autonomous teams, and translating SDGs into concrete, sustainable action.
AMS first took part in the Pioneering Employer program in 2022, focusing on people-centered hybrid work and wellbeing. This year, the school built on that foundation with a renewed focus on wellbeing. Through workshops with all teams, AMS gathered insights into current wellbeing levels, available resources, and potential areas for improvement.
These sessions revealed several priorities for the coming year, including reducing workload, strengthening resilience, improving knowledge sharing, and fostering stronger connections in a hybrid context. The school also aims to enhance collaboration across teams through clear agreements and open communication.
“The insights from this process give us a clear compass for the year ahead,” says Steven De Haes, Dean of Antwerp Management School. “We’ll continue this journey together with our leaders, teams, and HR. Wellbeing isn’t something we do next to our work — it’s increasingly how we work. This aligns perfectly with our Wellbeing Strategy 2029, which focuses on building resilient employees and strong teams. For us, pioneering leadership starts with a people-centered approach where wellbeing, learning, and collaboration form the foundation for sustainable growth.”
