Master class Agile government

This master class gives (future) managers in the public sector a basis to develop and implement a well-founded strategy aimed at an agile organisation. You will acquire knowledge of crisis management and communication, organisational networks and process management. This master class is also part of the Executive Master in Public Governance & Leadership.

Curriculum

The masterclass ‘Agile Government’ consists of three components: ‘Crisis Management and Communication’, ‘Organizational Networks’, and ‘Process Management’. This masterclass also forms part of the Executive Master in Public Governance & Leadership as a module. If you later decide to pursue the Executive Master in Public Governance & Leadership, you will be granted an exemption for this module.

Part: Crisis Management and Communication — in brief:

  • Today’s efficiency requires only minor adjustments during a crisis

  • What does my network look like, and how do I use it effectively?

Part: Organizational Networks — in brief:

  • The importance of social capital

  • The do’s and don’ts of networking

  • When to build a network — and when not to?

Part: Process Management — in brief:

  • Insight into the complex Belgian public sector

  • Recognizing patterns

  • Assessing processes using a clear reference framework

Faculty

Our experienced faculty will coach and support you throughout the program. They all have an academic background (Master’s, PhD, or DBA) and international experience in areas such as career development, research, project management, advisory boards, and/or consulting. Many of them have published work on their practice-oriented research, business cases, and management experience. Our faculty consists of experts in executive education, customized programs, and business consulting.
