The Sustainable Transformation Lab (formerly known as the “Corporate Responsibility Knowledge Community”), and The Future Leadership Initiative, have jointly organized an inspirational session on sustainability issues. Join us!
Perhaps you feel that sustainability is not particularly exciting? Fair enough. Many companies tend to merely communicate cold facts and figures about the social and ecological impacts of their actions, with an eye on simply keeping their stakeholders informed about the company’s ‘People, Planet, Profit’ ambitions. However, for sustainability to be truly effective, it needs storytelling and leadership that truly inspires and engages, touching people hearts and minds.
If you feel that you want to change the world for the better, and want to help ignite your company’s role in this process, you – as an aspiring sustainability leader – need an engaging narrative: a narrative that mobilizes your internal and external stakeholders towards your mission and provides a clear pathway for these stakeholders to make a meaningful contribution.
On November 10th, we are excited to welcome renowned speaker and Futerra co-founder Ed Gillespie for an inspiring session of unique thoughts and humor that will demonstrate how leaders are using ‘sustainability storytelling’, what their recipe for success is, and how you might craft your own story of sustainability leadership.Sign up now
About the speakers
|Ed Gillespie is co-founder of Futerra, a renowned sustainability-focused communications agency that works for organizations worldwide and aims to change them for the better.
Ed is a much-invited speaker to various audiences, including the UN, national governments, multinational corporations, and citizen organizations. Among other things, he spoke at a TEDX event in 2010 about the importance of embedding sustainability into business strategy in a talk titled ‘Sustainability, the reinvention of progress’.
In his own words, he wrestles common sense from complexity and provokes clients through gentle ‘insultancy’ (being strategically rude). He is the author of the book ‘Only Planet’.
|Prof. Dr. Wayne Visser is Professor of Integrated Value and holder of the Chair in Sustainable Transformation at Antwerp Management School. He is the author of 26 books and 300+ chapters, papers and articles, with his work as a “pracademic” having taken him to 74 countries over the last 25 years.|
|Since the end of 2010 Koen Marichal is responsible for The Future Leadership Initiative of Antwerp Management School.
