AMS Alumni in Indonesia
On Friday, February 18, Dean Paul Matthyssens launched a brand-new Alumni Chapter at the Belgian Embassy in Jakarta in presence of alumni and top managers.
AMS Professor Peter Verhezen gave an inspiring presentation on the status of the Indonesian economy and its governance-based inhibitors (“Doing business in Indonesia (ASEAN): Prospects and Challenges”).
Our Dean Paul addressed the need for life-long learning and why AMS is the perfect partner for that (“The Necessity to Become a Life Long Student”). Daisy K. Wadihari, Master of Global Management (2011), volunteered to be the first president of the alumni chapter during this important start-up stage.
Congratulations, Daisy! We’d like to thank the ambassador Mr. Herman and his fantastic and energetic staff for their hospitality and support. They even ordered a brand-new banner and offered to store it so we can use it for our next Jakarta events! They served Belgian beers, and now know also in Jakarta that we participate in Tournee Minerale… don’t worry, Paul was not seduced by the beer!
