Smart Ecosystems & Networks
The research of Wouter Van Bockhaven (PhD Applied Economics, UAntwerpen 2014) focuses on developing ecosystems for innovation to overcome barriers, which hold back the creation of "shared value," for institutions and shareholders. The research combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to address real-world challenges faced by managers in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, engineering, steel and public sectors. He researches and develops career development tools (see www.careercoach-network.com). His work has been published in Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing and HRSquare and has already been presented at conferences of the Strategic Management Society, IMP, SIOP, RENT and the EIASM workshop on Talent Management.
Anchored in services orientation and entrepreneurial activity, he actively translates scientific knowledge both into useful management models, tools and information, and support for various business development and commercialization projects. His classes are focused on organizational theory, strategy, implementation, performance measurement and innovation management at UAntwerpen, AMS and the Royal Military Academy.
