Shayp has developed an AI-driven solution that detects water leaks in real-time.

This is episode 7 of the series 'Trends Gamechangers'.

The Trends Impact Podcast takes you on an exciting journey through the environmental and societal achievements of companies making a positive impact on our planet. Over nine episodes, winners and nominees of the Trends Impact Awards 2022 share their stories. The host is Britt Buseyne, a Trends columnist and founder of the podcast Sustainababbels. In each episode, an expert from Antwerp Management School provides analysis and background.

The Brussels-based company Shayp has developed an AI-driven solution that detects water leaks in real-time. In 2017, they initiated a pilot project involving 86 French schools in the Grand Est region. Within a few months, they assisted the agricultural school of Saint-Laurent in saving 6 million liters of water and 20,000 euros. Shayp has since expanded its presence in both residential and, notably, non-residential settings. They collaborate with facility management partners to optimize the maintenance of water pipelines.

The Trends Impact Podcast is an initiative by Trends and Antwerp Management School. The Trends Impact Awards are organized by Trends and PWC, in collaboration with Antwerp Management School.

This podcast is in Dutch.
