Loops Earplugs, Honest Jeans, Brauzz... More than 120 start-ups already were born at AMS. We are only too happy to support you in starting your own sustainable business. With the blessing of AMS you can expand your network with seasoned entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers. After you graduate, you can keep using the AMS campus and facilities for another year to further develop your start-up. We are curious to see what you will create!

An international consciousness

Sustainability is a topic of global concern. That's why we take you into that world: to learn from leading thinkers and schools, to put their perspectives into practice, and to expand your network with the right experts. To do so, we are heading to 2 cities known for their open-minded vision and sustainable initiatives: welcome to Milan and Berlin.

The program is designed to empower, challenge and support young professionals in creating their own sustainable business or to work on innovation project in existing businesses.

Your job search is a central theme from the beginning of the master's program.

Our career center helps you to identify your job opportunities and dreams, build your network and hone your interview skills.

• Throughout the year you can participate in several workshops on job application and interview techniques.
• We visit and host several companies for a guest lecture, which helps to expand your network and get to know the work field.
• We organize 2 job fairs where you can meet potential employers.
• Our career center connects you with our experienced alumni (local and global), with some of the most influential HR communities and with our personal career coaches.

You will also visit numerous companies in Belgium. In the past, we have collaborated successfully with companies such as Accenture, BMW, Crossbridge, Deloitte, Desco, Dixon & Company, Hays, Hudson, Ikea, LeasePlan, Page, PwC, Top Employers Institute, UZA, …

Antwerp is a creative city for investors and entrepreneurs, always open for new ideas and concepts. The City of Antwerp and its business partners are undertaking many initiatives to encourage innovative entrepreneurship and attract new investments. Some examples:

• StartupVillage, a temporary hub for digital growth businesses
• City of Things, transformation of Antwerp into a ‘living lab’
• The Beacon, with a physical anchor in the innovation hub
  

Antwerp has a very lively, active and fast growing and internationally connected start-up scene.

Thanks to a partnership between AMS and NSX, a spin-off of UAntwerp, you, as a student, have access to top technology. NSX conducts research and valorization of the innovative Normalized Systems technology.

NSX designs particularly fine-grained modular software based on this technology. This software makes changes (and therefore innovations) quickly possible. As a MIE student you can participate in the Start-Up Sprint Competition, which will lift your start-up to a higher level. The winning students will receive effective support from NSX worth 20.000 euros.
