1. Strong focus on sustainability

The MSIE focuses on teaching students from all over the world how to create sustainable solutions for society. Sustainability is firmly embedded in the MIE program:

  • We value social entrepreneurship
  • In many courses sustainability is at the core. e.g. we teach about ethics on new digital technologies such as Artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality, 5G,…
  • During the Global Leadership track (see below), you will have to work on an Action Learning Project (ALP), realising some of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals).

After successful completion of the program, you will receive an official and internationally accredited Master of Science (MSc) degree issued by Antwerp Management School ; ‘Master in Management: Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship'.

3. International network (Milan, Antwerp & Berlin)

You will be part of a very international program. It will be a global experience with students and faculty from many different nationalities and a unique opportunity to expand your international network. You will learn how to cope with different cultures and the complexities of international business communications. 

You'll embark on a 3-week project with students from Politechnico in Milan. First you will visit Milan and take part in the Innovation Sprint collaborating with students at Politecnico. Then you will welcome and host them in Antwerp to complete the sprint!

You will also travel to Berlin to dive into the inspiring sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem. The goal of the trip is to identify growth opportunities, understand the circular ecosystem DNA and learn how to enter this landscape

4. More than 120 start-ups

The Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, recently revamped to the Master in Sustainable Innovation & Entrepreneurship, has already brought forth 120 start-ups. From start-up to great and successful enterprise. From medical products, to coffeebars, from fashion, to apps, the founders all followed the same program.

5. Start-up sprint competition

Thanks to a partnership between AMS and NSX, a spin-off of UAntwerp, you, as a student, have access to top technology. NSX conducts research and valorization of the innovative Normalized Systems technology.

NSX designs particularly fine-grained modular software based on this technology. This software makes changes (and therefore innovations) quickly possible. As a MIE student you can participate in the Start-Up Sprint Competition, which will lift your start-up to a higher level. The winning students will receive effective support from NSX worth 20.000 euros.

6. Kickstart your career

The program is designed to empower, challenge and support young professionals in creating an incredible advantage for their international career.

Career Management Services

Throughout the academic year, several activities will be organized at AMS by the Career Management Services which can inspire and help you in making a good career decision, including job interview trainings, career fairs, networking events, case evenings. Individual and peer coaching is offered to help you explore your talents, interests and needs, relate these to what companies offer in terms of jobs and career opportunities, and prepare yourself for job interviews and assessments. 

Graduates from this program start working in a variety of companies and industries either driving innovation in a corporation, accelerating in leading innovation firms or revamping the family business. Companies include Google, Ecover, EY, Salesforce, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Unilever, AB Inbev, Nestlé, Too Good To Go, LEGO, Deloitte, and Showpad.

7. Launch your own start-up at AMS

Graduates from this program who want to develop a start-up can use our building: AMS provides a free working place and a place where you can meet clients.
