Module 1: Defining the change approach and strategy

Before you start making changes, you need to understand the scope of the change. How is your organization currently structured, and what is going to change? What are the key characteristics of your organization, and how will they evolve? What will be easily changeable and what won't be? Ultimately, the question is whether the change project is feasible or needs to be adjusted.

  • What are we going to change?
  • Which stakeholders do we need to involve?
  • Gradual or radical change?
  • Systematic or flexible approach?
  • What pitfalls should we avoid?
  • What is the role of the change manager?

After completing this module:

  • you can map how complex organizations function;
  • you know how to develop a change strategy;
  • you have a better understanding of the political aspects of change processes;
  • you can diagnose the motivation and power of stakeholders;
  • you recognize the key change challenges you need to be prepared for.

Module 2: Leading the change process and implementation

What are the specific change interventions you need to make progress? Who should take on which roles in the change process? What is your role as a change manager, and how can you guide all stakeholders throughout the entire journey?

  • Leadership: inspiring people with your story
  • Project management
  • Trust and resistance
  • Embedding a change mindset

After completing this module:

  • you can deliver a compelling change narrative;
  • you know how to mobilize employees and other stakeholders;
  • you have a wide range of change interventions at your disposal;
  • you understand how to embed changes within the organization;
  • you understand how to manage a change project and how to lead people through the process.
