Participant profiles & registrations

This program is designed for leaders, producers, managers and entrepreneurs in the cultural sector, particularly in local cultural policy, the art sector (including applied arts), socio-cultural community work, the cultural heritage sector and creative industries.

Participants

This program is aimed at executives, makers, managers, entrepreneurs and initiators of the cultural and creative sectors: arts, creative industry, film and media, broadcasting industry, archives, performing arts, libraries and heritage institutes. It is a program for pioneers who want to take up a key position in their field and who want to combine entrepreneurship with creativity and innovation. We aim at the highest variety of participants, disciplines and expertise.

LinC Low Countries also stands for connecting practice with the new insights and experiences you gain during the program. Cultural organizations are often small-scale and preoccupied with everyday concerns. But large arts and culture institutions will also benefit from participating in LinC Low Countries. This program will actively engage your work environment. Thus, we also work on the learning capacity of institutions and organizations.

Requirements

The LinC Low Countries program has room for a maximum of 20 participants, 10 from Flanders, 10 from the Netherlands. Admission criteria will be defined by the program committee, but the following (soft) criteria already apply:

  • The ambition, passion and potential to realize change and innovation in the cultural sector;
  • Sufficient time to follow the program and be present during sessions (1 day per week on average);
  • The willingness to learn, to challenge views, opinions and dominant thinking frames, and to expand your ways of working;
  • The willingness to put your own network, time and expertise at the service of the other participants and the sector in Flanders and the Netherlands;
  • The will to realize business or artistic innovations;
  • A clear motivation how LinC Low Countries fits into your personal and professional growth.

Procedure

Participants from Flanders can apply by emailing their resume and motivation to crislin.stanley@ams.ac.be. In your motivation, also note the learning questions you would like to enter the program with. For the 2024-2025 edition you can apply until June 1st A first selection will be made from the candidates based on CV and motivation. The exact dates for the selection interviews will be sent to you by e-mail.

In this Low Countries edition we have room for 20 participants: 10 from Flanders and 10 from the Netherlands. In the selection process we take into account the aforementioned hard and soft criteria, along with a diverse group composition. Dutch candidates can submit their application via this link.
