Floor Verbiest is working as Supply Chain Analyst with INEOS Oxide in Antwerp, where she is responsible for amongst other the implementation of an integrated planningstool. She is appointed as a lecturer at the Antwerp Management School where she teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Master in Management.
After graduating as a Business Engineer (2014), Floor Verbiest obtained a PhD in 2019 at the University of Antwerp with her work on the optimisation of chemical batch plant design. Her research is situated in the domain of Operations & Supply Chain Management and Operations Research, where she used mathematical models and algorithms for strategic decision support. During her time at the university, Floor Verbiest supervised bachelor and master students in their theses and was a guest lecturer for the University of Antwerp master students in Business Engineering. She has studied at Université Montpellier II (France), interned with the Goa Institute of Management (India) and completed a research stay with the Instituto Superior Tecnicó of Lisbon (Portugal).
